The Meal Setup is a digital publication operated by Northstack Media LLC.
Some links on The Meal Setup may be affiliate links.
If you click an affiliate link and purchase a product, begin a subscription, register for a grocery or meal service, or complete another qualifying action, Northstack Media LLC may receive a commission or other compensation.
Using an affiliate link ordinarily does not change the price you pay. Pricing, shipping, subscription terms, availability, and transaction conditions are controlled by the provider.
Why The Meal Setup uses affiliate links
Affiliate revenue can help support:
- Website hosting and technical services
- Food and product research
- Editorial work
- Content maintenance and updates
- Meal-planning resources
- Publishing expenses
- Continued operation of The Meal Setup
An affiliate relationship does not guarantee favorable coverage, inclusion in an article, a particular rating, ranking, or recommendation.
Editorial independence
When discussing products and services, The Meal Setup aims to consider factors relevant to the intended use, potentially including:
- Capacity
- Materials
- Features
- Food-storage purpose
- Ease of cleaning
- Manufacturer instructions
- Pricing
- Subscription requirements
- Maintenance
- Availability
- Safety information
- Limitations
We do not claim firsthand testing unless an article expressly states that testing occurred.
When content relies upon manufacturer documentation, retailer information, product labels, research, specifications, or other sources rather than direct testing, we aim not to characterize that information as firsthand experience.
Material relationships
The Meal Setup may receive:
- Affiliate commissions
- Referral fees
- Free or discounted products
- Product samples
- Trial subscriptions
- Demonstration access
- Sponsorship payments
- Other benefits from companies mentioned on the website
When a material relationship applies to an endorsement or recommendation, we intend to disclose it clearly and close to the relevant content.
Affiliate disclosures within articles
This page explains The Meal Setup’s general affiliate practices. It does not replace appropriate disclosures within individual articles.
Articles containing affiliate links should include an appropriate disclosure near the beginning or close to the relevant affiliate recommendation.
The Meal Setup may use:
Affiliate disclosure: The Meal Setup may earn a commission if you purchase or subscribe through links in this article. This generally does not increase your price or determine our editorial conclusions.
Specific sponsorships, free products, free access, discounts, compensation, or other material relationships may require additional disclosure.
Product suitability
An affiliate relationship does not mean that a food product, storage container, appliance, cookware item, grocery service, meal service, or other product is appropriate for every household.
Before purchasing or using a product, independently review relevant:
- Ingredients
- Allergen information
- Intended use
- Materials
- Capacity
- Product specifications
- Manufacturer instructions
- Safety warnings
- Storage requirements
- Recall information
- Subscription terms
No guaranteed savings or other outcomes
The Meal Setup does not guarantee that an affiliated product or service will:
- Reduce grocery spending
- Eliminate food waste
- Save a particular amount of time
- Improve health
- Cause weight loss
- Treat a medical condition
- Produce another specific outcome
Pricing and product information
Prices, ingredients, package sizes, specifications, subscriptions, availability, promotions, and provider policies can change.
The Meal Setup does not control third-party:
- Pricing
- Shipping
- Billing
- Automatic renewals
- Returns
- Refunds
- Product availability
- Ingredient changes
- Product recalls
- Privacy practices
- Service performance
The provider’s current product information and terms control.
Advertising versus affiliate links
Display advertising and affiliate links are different forms of compensation.
The Meal Setup may earn advertising revenue when advertisements are displayed or interacted with.
The Meal Setup may earn affiliate compensation when a visitor completes a qualifying action through a tracked affiliate link.
The Meal Setup does not ask visitors to click advertisements to support the website.
Northstack Media LLC does not authorize artificial clicks, impressions, purchases, subscriptions, traffic, or other activity intended to improperly increase advertising or affiliate revenue.
